    The Building:

Bostonia is a concept that pays homage to all things Boston including the historical architecture that defines and beautifies our city. We are fortunate to have acquired a space that fits our concept and mission. We are ideally situated in The Board of Trade Building on the corner of State Street and Broad Street in the heart of the Financial District and adjacent to Faneuil Hall.

The building was constructed in 1902 by architects Winslow and Bigelow.  At the end of the 19th Century their firm was considered the largest architectural firm in Boston.

    Bostonia Public House Designer

    The Design:

Bostonia Public House, designed by HGTV Host / Food Network Designer Taniya Nayak, is an elegant yet unpretentious addition to the restaurant landscape of downtown Boston. The space thoughtfully integrates rustic elements with modern accents. Iconic architecture, raw building materials, vintage finishes are juxtaposed and flattered by distinctive lighting, glossy brick treatments and marble flooring. The cognac / coffee tones exude a casual stylishness and foster a warm, approachable feel. Nayak says, “The intent was to give reverence to the City’s rich heritage and mingle in contemporary touches crafting a genuinely alluring gathering spot.”

Bostonia Public House is a stylishly unpretentious addition to the hospitality landscape of downtown Boston. A relaxed yet elegant restaurant within a vibrant social scene; Fitzgerald envisions fashioning an atmosphere that is ‘polished and playful’ serving up just the right amount of sociable sophistication. A zealous wine enthusiast, Fitzgerald is showcasing a wine program that he asserts will change the way people appreciate and experience wines. “Sip, sample, and be sociable” the wine offerings are just like the rest of the concept features – aimed at encouraging interaction.

The couple are active charitable supporters working with organizations like The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Boston Children’s Hospital, Lucy’s Love Bus and Cops for Kids with Cancer.
