Boston Food Journal Does Sunday Funday Right

Lobster Frittata? Check. Short Rib Benedict? Check. Ultimate Bloody Mary Bar, complete with mile-high garnish? Check.

Brittany DiCapua, owner and operator of the Boston Food Journal, recently grabbed some friends and headed to brunch at Bostonia for Sunday Funday. She raved about her overall experience and called the menu, “variant, affordable, and simply delicious.”

But for her group the Build Your Own Bloody Mary Bar stole the show. “My friends and I took the challenge very seriously and constructed a multi-level Bloody Mary tower that defied the odds,” said DiCapua. “It consisted of jumbo shrimp cocktail, bacon wrapped scallops, green olives, mini powdered sugar donuts, cucumbers, an arrangement of fruits, cheddar cheese chunks, beef jerky, hot peppers, and chocolate (because why not, at that point).”

Eatsward Bound Samples Lobster Mac & Cheese

Jen and Sonia of the travel & food blog Eatsward Bound recently posted about a trip to Boston, titled “When We Sea Food We Eat It.” First stop on their itinerary was Bostonia Public House.

The duo commented on how nice the staff was and how many good menu recommendations they received. The ultimately decided on the Lobster Mac & Cheese and Spice Rubbed Pork Ribs.

Hops & Horns Discovers Saturday Brunch at Bostonia

Mario “beertoro” Toro recently stumbled across Saturday brunch at Bostonia, on a weekend visit to Boston.  He loves to experience life one beer at a time and pens the blog, Hops & Horns, a story of beer, breweries and the best eats he can find in the Northeast and beyond.

In his post, Toro said, “Our brunch spots usually check all the boxes on a short but specific checklist: it needs to have a great ambiance, a decent craft beer list, and of course, food that’ll sooth the hungry soul. Bostonia Public House nailed it in each of those three categories for us.”

Some highlights for Toro included the Scrambler Breakfast Sandwich, Bro-Mosa and (even though he just drooled over these but didn’t drink them) the Bloody Marys.

Boston.com Recommends Bostonia for Mother’s Day Brunch

Mother’s Day is this Sunday. If you haven’t made a reservation yet, there’s still time. Team MR8 is also known as The Martin W. Richard Charitable Foundation. This foundation was formed by the parents of eight-year-old Martin Richard, who was killed in the bombings at the Boston Marathon on April 15, 2013.

The Weekend Gourmet Dines Out in April

Wendy and her husband, Micheal, of The Weekend Gourmet, traveled from Texas to Boston in April and made a point to visit Bostonia. We’re thrilled that of all the choices in the Boston food landscape, they chose to dine with us.

They both enjoyed the location, live music, and quintessential Boston foods prepared with a twist. Wendy says, “Bostonia Public House is the kind of restaurant that we would return to again and again!”
