Bostonia Makes the List: 15 Bars That Will Make You Want to Stay Unil Last Call

Bostonia is thrilled to make Movoto’s list of 15 Bars in Boston That Will Make You Want to Stay Until Last Call.

Movoto calls Bostonia a “Classy Cool” choice.

This bustling bar located in the Financial District has quickly become the talk of the town. Lunchtime and happy hour is overflowing with suits, but weekends bring out the best of Boston, with a crowd of all ages looking to have a cool but classy time in the city. Bostonia features some great live bands, too, even during brunch on the weekends.

Come in and see for yourself. With an extensive wine list and great line-up of live music for March and April, we’re sure you won’t be disappointed!

The Making of Boston’s “Best Wine List”

Have you walked into Bostonia and seen that wall of wine bottles inside those cases along the back of the bar? Have you ever wondered what they are and what they do?

Napa Technologies “Wine Stations” are a state of the art wine preservation system and the cornerstone of our wine program. Last August we were awarded the Best Wine List in Boston from Boston A-List and it would not have been possible without the Wine Stations.

The Wine Stations keep the wines at the appropriate temperatures, preserve the wine for up to 60 days by replacing the oxygen with argon and aerate the wines as they are poured to give a perfect pour every time. With the Wine Stations we are able to offer exclusive wines like Opus One and Doubleback by the glass.

We hope you’ll come by soon and try one of our exclusive selections. See you then!

Watch the Oscars with Bostonia Public House & The Ellie Fund

Bostonia Public House is thrilled to announce our participation in The Ellie Fund’s 19th Annual Red Carpet Gala on February 22nd at the Fairmont Copley Plaza. The Gala will include an exclusive, live viewing of the 87th Annual Academy Awards Telecast and will be hosted by Phil Lipof, Jim Lokay, J. C. Monahan and Kelley Tuthill of WCVB-TV Channel 5.

Bostonia Public House’s own Chef Kyle will join forces with other Boston-area chefs to provide a delicious array of food and beverages for the Gala.

The Ellie Fund is a non-profit organization that fights breast cancer by easing its effects on patients and families. They provide critical support services including transportation to medical appointments, childcare, housekeeping, groceries, and nutritious prepared meals free of charge to hundreds of women and family members across Massachusetts each year.

We are honored to be involved with The Ellie Fund and to have this opportunity to support their mission.

A Little Bit About A Lot Of Things – “My Food Adventures…And Some Other Random Stuff”: Bostonia Public House

Bostonia Public House took over the space that was formerly Kitty O’Shea’s (2 floors) and has been open since April – packing the house both at lunch time and after work.

The restaurant has a really great vibe, and the decor is fabulous – from the dark wood to the mustard colored seats to the amazing bar. HGTV’s Taniya Nayak designed the space. The team and I took Mark out to celebrate his upcoming wedding.

We started with the pickle pot ($5) that was lip puckering good. Love the presentation.

Most of the team had the burger, which did look delicious. I had the housemade ricotta dumplings ($22) that came with shrimp, peas, carrots and a crispy prosciutto cracker. A great dish, really nice bright flavors – very summery. With lunch entrees ranging between $16 and $29, the prices are a bit steep for lunch, but the food was delicious and Mark was happy.

They offer 38 wines by the glass (check out how cool that is!) and live music in the evenings. They are open late night, 11:30am – 2am daily.
